Meet Dr. Amelia Gallitano

Dr. Amelia Gallitano is a doctor, scientist, professor, and mother running for the Arizona State Senate in Legislative District 2. She helped launch the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix to train more doctors for Arizona and spent nine years treating veterans with PTSD at the Phoenix VA Medical Center. As a researcher and professor, she trained future doctors and studied mental illnesses.

Dr. Gallitano is running because too many families are working harder than ever, but still struggling to keep up with the rising cost of everyday life. From higher health insurance premiums, prescription costs, and utility bills driven by extreme heat, to housing affordability and growing concerns about long-term water security, families are feeling the pressure on every front. She is committed to advancing practical, evidence-based solutions that lower everyday costs, protect Arizona’s future, and bring integrity, accountability, and facts back to the State Senate.
